WAY OTHER THAN ALL

Pilgrimages have a long Christian tradition. For centuries people have taken the trouble to make a pilgrimage to the holy places around the world on foot. Pilgrimages are also permanently present in the Polish culture and its landscape. Many of our Sisters also walked hundreds of kilometers this year, wandering with thousands of pilgrims to the national shrine of Our Lady in Częstochowa. Prayer and sacrifice, rain and sun, joy and pain set the rhythm on the pilgrim route.

The Sisters served the pilgrims with inspiring words, advice and help. Many good coversations and the possibility of sharing gave them new strength for life. Among the pilgrims, you meet the young and elderly, even in very advanced age, as well as entire families with small children. Everyone was searching for a faith experience, for truth, searching for a sense of life and meaning of the community. During the pilgrimage, people brought their intensions and prayed to God through the intercession of the Mother of God. She is the Mother of us all, understands us perfectly and guides us along the way.

The pilgrimages made by Sr. Consolata Majewska no one is able to count. They have long exceeded the number of 40. Sr. Consolata from the very beginning is faithfully making these foot pilgrims every year from Warsaw to the Shrine, 9 days on the road and over 270 km. After reaching the goal, standing before the miraculous image of the Mother of God, the effort and labor of the previous days of the pilgrimage brought joy of encounter and fulfillment.
