At the beginning of July in our Generalate another meeting of the General Governments of our two sister Congregations took place. The meeting focused on topics related to the upcoming activities of the Unification Commission and the preparation of a plan for the visit of the two General Superiors in India. The visit is planned for August 24-September 4, 2018. The General Superiors will meet the Provincial Councils, local superiors, formation teams and members of the closest communities.
The first meeting of the Commission is scheduled for the last week of September. The work of the commission will be based on three fundamental pillars: history, charism and mission. A common return to the sources to which the Second Vatican Council is calling, raises the hope that each of us, with new power, will penetrate the spirit of the Founder, and the charism will be revived in its originality.
During the meeting of Sr. Izabela Świerad SAC, the Superior General gave Sr. Ivete Garlet CSAC, the Superior General, a painting of St.V Pallotti. This was a meaningful gesture, signifying that the process towards uniting our Congregations is not only our desire, but it is also a response to the signs of the times.
The Church invites us to unite in the same direction as one community, which is determined by the vision given to us by St. Vincent Pallotti. It is the response to the Founder and to the charism that strengthens our unity.
