On the Way toward Unity
God the Father, Infinite Love
We, Pallottine Sisters, are standing before you today to listen to the desires of your Sacred Heart. In the world which constantly experiences divisions, conflicts and lack of peace, we would like to become leaven of unity and prophets of communion. In union with You and among us we want to discern the way in which you intend to guide our communities.
Grant us the gift of Wisdom to help us listen to your word and discern in its light our Pallottine call today and tomorrow. May your wisdom accompany us in all decisions, personal and communal, so that they can be an answer to the desires of your Heart and the needs of the people today.
Grant us the gift of Understanding so that we may penetrate secrets of your presence in the world and discern your will for us and all people. Help us deeply understand our reality, take up its challenges and place it constantly at the horizon of eternity.
Grant us the gift of Counsel so that we may direct our lives with peace and confidence. May doubts, anxieties and daily hardships be for us a chance to entrust ourselves to you and always choose what is in agreement with your will.
Grant us the gift of Fortitude so that we may courageously and creatively read the signs of the times. May the power of your Spirit make us women with brave and loving hearts, who – in answer to your infinite love – are ready to go to every place where there are brothers and sisters thirsting for You.
Grant us the gift of Knowledge so that we may discern and choose what serves unity and truth. Give us sound thinking, an ability to dialogue and courage to take actions so that our life and apostolate be pure Gospel.
Grant us the gift of Piety so that we live out our consecration with joy and chastity of heart. May the following of Jesus bear in us fruit of tenderness, sensitivity and kindness towards everyone. May our prayer help us to grow in spiritual childhood, nourishing reconciliation and communion.
Grant us the gift of Fear of the Lord so that – conscious of how fragile and delicate the gift of unity is – we realize it with courage and responsibility in our communities. May fear not to ever lose your holy love expand our hearts and enable us to carry unity wherever you will send us.
May our desire to listen to You and to discern your will raise in us decisions, attitudes and actions which will serve your infinite glory, to the destruction of sin and salvation of souls.
