New Postulants in India

photo0128a

As soon as someone enters the society, the message of the angel to the shepherds could be repeated: “Look, I bring you news of great joy to be shared by the whole people. Today in the town of David the savior has been born to you; He is Christ the Lord” /Luke 2: 10-11/.

With this same sentiment we the sisters from India were very happy to welcome our 11 postulants to our Congregation. They are from five different states. Two are from Karnataka, two from Andhra Pradesh, two from Tamilnadu, three from Jhrkdan, and two from Orissa. We organized a day of recollection to prepare our candidates to have the right motivation, discernment and perseverance in their vocation.

On the 30th June in the morning we began our day with a meaningful prayer service and special ceremony during which the 11 candidates entered into the Postulancy. After that we had a solemn Eucharistic celebration offered for their intentions. The main celebrant emphasized the meaning of vocation and the aim to reach their goal. Sr. Angela Devi is the postulant directress and Sr. Sahaya Ambrose is assisting in the formation. After one year of spiritual course in Rome, Sr. Sahaya will be a great help in Pallottine formation. We thank God for His gracious kindness towards us for giving us fruitful vocations.

Sr. Angela Devi, SAC
