Arise and shine…. 
text based on Is 60:1

This was one of the songs we sang in my youth during Advent
when we visited the sick in our hospitals on weekends
to cheer them up and bring them joy.
It always filled me with joy.
Today I still like to think back to those happy hours.

We do not always have the opportunity to visit
and cheer up our sick when we want to.
But we are united with them in thought and prayer.
