On August 15, 2014 was a blissful day for the Sisters in South Africa. On the Feast day of Our Lady of Assumption, Sr. Prescilla Rego celebrated silver Jubillee of profession. Sr. Prescilla, belongs to the Mother of Divine Love Province, India. Since three years she works as a missionary in the South African Province. Professionally Sr. Prescilla is a Nurse and at present after obtaining the registration license from the South African Nursing Council, she is employed at St. Joseph’s Home as a registrated Nurse.
The invited guest gathered in the Chapel of St. Vincent Pallotti Convent Pinelands, Cape Town. The festive Mass was preceded by His Grace Stephen Brislin, Archbishop of Cape Town together with several priests and women religious from the different Religious Congregations. Archbishop in his homily said that God is manifested through the dedication and commitment of a religious. He also expressed his gratitude to Sr. Prescilla for her willingness to accept the ministry at St. Joseph’s Home for the love of chronical ill children.
During the Mass the Jubilarian renewed her vows. The vibrant singing of the assembly and floral arrangements created grace filled atmosphere in the Chapel. Spirit of fellowship began with delicious banquet and wishes. This cheerful celebration was an eloquent witness to all who share in the joy of the Jubilarian.
