The Cenacle is the heart of the Pallottine charism, and the wind and fire are signs that our life has been transformed once and for all into a Paschal story of death and resurrection. To our common path, two sister Congregations, entered another event: the Feast of Mary, Queen of Apostles and Solemnity of Pentecost. This time it was celebarted in Grottaferrata, at Casa del Cenacolo, a home sanctified by the presence, prayer and service of the Roman Pallottine Sisters (CSAC).
The meeting was attended by our two General Councils and sisters representing all our Pallottine communities in Rome and the surrounding area. It was a real experience of the Upper Room, experience of the Eucharist and of awaiting for the sound from heaven. The Solemn Mass was presided by Fr. James Edassery, the local Parish Priest and the homily was delivered by Fr. Denilson Geraldo SAC, general councilor.
The common prayer was enriched by the diversity of expressions from many parts of the world: from India, Ruanda, Tanzania, Brazil, Poland and Italy. For example, the Liturgy of the Word began with the solemn enthronement of the Word of God with the dance, accompaniment of songs in Swahili and Indian floral garlands and incense.
During the agape, the General Superiors, Sr. Ivete Garlet CSAC and Sr. Izabela Świerad SAC, addressed the community with a short message, emphasizing both the historical and prophetic significance of our common path. The entire day was marked by gratitude and sisterly love. Once again, we were able to see that unity in multiplicity and diversity is a sign of the Holy Spirit’s action, as well as a testimony to the truth of the Pallottine charism.
