im Musikzimmer am KlavierThe desert and the parched land will be glad.
The wilderness will rejoice and blossom.
They will behold the glory of the Lord,
the splendour of our God.
Strengthen the hands that are weak,
and make firm the knees that give way.
Say to those who are faint-hearted,
Be strong! Do not be afraid!
Here is your God; he is coming to save you.
Then the eyes of the blind will be opened
and the ears of the deaf will no longer be sealed.
Then the lame will leap like a stag
and the tongue of the dumb will shout joyfully.
Is 35

Announce to all in need: Take courage and have faith. Soon our God will come; gloriously you will see him.

God draws near with new kindness, that we may turn to him; he will redeem our iniquities; peace shall endure for ever.

The blind will look up to the light, the dumb will sing hymns, the deaf will open their ears, the lame will leap like a deer.

God will turn away distress and suffering. He will comfort the faithful. And to the banquet of bliss, go those redeemed by the Lord.

God’s salvation is granted to all people. (Advent hymn)
