24 November

Fr. Martin in his homily today pointed out three key words which are important for Christian life: trust, fidelity, and perseverance, and which take on particular significance in the hour of persecution. In the morning session we first listened to the presentation of Fr. Denilson Geraldo, SAC, General Councillor and Director of the Pallotti Institute in Rome, on the Statutes of the UAC.

According to Fr. Denilson, before we begin the reading and interpretation of these Statutes, we have to return to our own identity as consecrated persons – Pallottine Missionaries – and to Our Way of Life. In a broad juridical context, he presented our place in the Union as one of its core communities, showing what we have in common with the lay members and where we are radically different.

Then we continued our work on formation, partly in groups and partly in the plenary.

In the afternoon we made a pilgrimage in the footsteps of St. Vincent Pallotti, and in the evening we met for adoration and Holy Mass in the church of San Salvatore in Onda at the feet of St. Vincent Pallotti and of Blessed Elizabetta Sanna.
