The Visitation took place from 26th of January to 26th of February 2026. The Superior General, Rev. Sr. Josephina D Souza, Sr. Malgorzata Wyrodek, the Vicar General and Sr. Adelheid Scheloske, General Councillor, arrived to Bengaluru, India on 25th of January 2026. Sr. Alda Isa Paes, the General Councillor was already in India. The Provincial Superior Rev. Sr. Angela Devi extended a warm welcome to the Superior General and her councillors with a traditional dance and, in accordance with Indian custom, garlanded them. They presented a bouquet of flowers and a shawl.
The Indian Province with 63 sisters and 11 communities are planted in different parts of India. The communities are
- Pallotti Cottage with Nishkalanka Seva Home (Maharashtra)
- Twichakma – (Tripura)
- Bagbasa – (Tripura)
- Vincent Pallotti Convent – (Odisha)
- Joseph Nivas Convent – (Chhattisgarh)
- Deva Matha Convent – (Goa)
- Konkepudi Community – (Andhra Pradesh)
- Nazareth Convent – (Tamil Nadu)
- Queen of Apostles Convent – (Tamil Nadu)
- Pallotti Nivas Convent – (Kerala)
- Vincent Krupa Convent with Vidya Deepti Study House (Karnataka)
The communities took great care to express their reverence, love, appreciation, and gratitude to the sisters, doing so in ways that reflected the culture and traditions of each place. Through these heartfelt gestures of respect and hospitality, the communities acknowledged the guidance and spiritual leadership of the sisters with joy and devotion.
The visitors took time to meet each sister personally. These individual and community interactions helped us realize more deeply that we are one family—companions on the journey who support one another through our presence, love, care, and mutual encouragement.
The Superior General highlighted the significance of prayer, community life, unity, and a faithful commitment to the mission of the Congregation. Her message was both inspiring and encouraging for all the sisters, urging us to renew our zeal and courageously move forward in our mission with deeper dedication.
Our contribution to the Church is very important because the Church grows and flourishes through the service of its members. Each person is given different gifts and talents, and by using them in various ministries—such as guiding the youth, teaching, serving the senior citizens at the evening of their lives, administering health care, visiting the families, helping the poor, assisting in liturgy and evangelization, singing in the choir—we help build up the body of Christ.
Our Sisters also visited our mission areas and met Cardinal Felipe Neri Ferrao, the Bishops, the parish priests, and the Pallottine Fathers where our sisters carry out their apostolate. These encounters renewed our missionary zeal and helped us appreciate our humble contribution to the Church in India. They reminded us that every small act of love and service in the mission is valuable before God: “Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love.” (Mother Teresa).
The Sisters also met the teachers, hostel girls, and students who are the pillars of the future. Their visits to the mission fields brought renewed joy, hope, and radiant smiles to everyone they encountered. The hostel girls and students warmly welcomed them with colourful programs and traditional gestures of love and hospitality, reflecting the rich cultures and traditions of India.
The visitors also took time to pray and visit the graves of our deceased Sisters of the Province, especially the grave of our beloved Sr. Magdala Schneider, who was blessed with the mission of laying the foundation for the Missionary Sisters of the Catholic Apostolate in Goa, India.
The Sisters made a pilgrimage to Marian Shrines and also received blessings of St. Francis Xavier in Goa. Visit to our collaborators like our Pallottine Fathers, Holy Cross Fathers, Franciscan Sisters, Jesuit Fathers, etc. left the mark of joy and mutual co-responsibility in God’s vineyard.
The Visitation concluded with hearts full of gratitude and encouragement, inspiring us to move forward with renewed zeal. As St. Paul exhorts us to “stir into flame,” we were reminded in our parting message to nurture the spiritual gifts and zeal that God has bestowed upon us, keeping them alive and active in both our lives and our mission. We are deeply inspired by the General Chapter theme, “Do whatever He tells you,” and remain committed to discerning the signs of the times, allowing our Charism to be a living and vibrant reality. May Mary Queen of the Apostles and St. Vincent Pallotti pray for us.
