Salvation Run

The Salvation Run is a  movement by Elvish Joseph, a sports management Professional which invites believers to publicly declare their faith through collective action, fellowship and prayerful steps: ” I belong to Jesus “. The salvation run at St. John’s Church ground, Frazer Town, Bengaluru was organised by the Archbishop, Bishops and pastors on 28th of March 2026. Believers from Catholic, Protestant, Lutheran, Baptist, Orthodox, Assemblies of God and independent Churches came together under one banner “the Body of Christ”. Four of our sisters and nine candidates participated in this 5k.m Run, and 3k.m walk. They shared about their experience:

Attending the Salvation Run was truly a grace-filled and joyful experience for all of us. From the moment we reached St. John’s Church ground, Frazer Town, we could feel a deep sense of unity and spiritual enthusiasm in the atmosphere. People from different denominations had gathered, not as separate groups, but as one family  in Christ. It deeply touched our hearts to see everyone proclaiming with conviction the theme: “I belong to Jesus” (Roman 1:6)

As we began the run and walk, it was not just a physical activity, but a prayer in motion. Every step we took felt meaningful, as if we were witnessing our faith publicly with joy and courage. Repeating in our hearts “I belong to Jesus” gave us strength and filled us with a sense of identity and purpose. There was a beautiful spirit of fellowship, encouragement, and unity among all. Smiles, songs, prayers, and words of inspiration filled the path, making the journey light and uplifting. We felt especially grateful to participate along with our Provincial Superior, Sr. Angela Devi, SAC, whose presence encouraged us deeply. Walking and running together as a  community strengthened our bond and renewed our commitment to live our vocation with zeal.

This experience reminded us of the vision of our Founder, St. Vincent Pallotti, who longed for unity among all Christians. Seeing that vision come alive before our eyes filled our hearts with joy and hope. We returned with a renewed spirit, inspired to continue our mission with greater faith, love, and unity. It was not just a run- it was a beautiful journey of faith, togetherness, and witnessing Christ to the World, joyfully proclaiming: “I belong to Jesus.”
