“Let us not grow weary of doing good…” Gal 6:9

“Let us not grow weary of doing good, so that we may be living signs of hope.” (Theme of Canonical Visitation)

It has become a tradition for the Province of Our Lady of Kibeho to organize a meeting of all the sisters each year to take a retrospective look at our experiences and develop new dispositions to move forward on the path of renewal.

This year, the meeting was organized in a particular way. It follows the canonical visit of the Provincial Superior in all communities of the Province. She was accompanied by the Provincial Bursar. A concluding report of the visitation was shared with all the sisters by the Provincial Superior Sr Angeline Kambugu, SAC and it was further explored together for a shared vision of walking together for personal and communal growth of the members which will allow us to become living signs of hope wherever we are located and wherever we are sent.

The meeting was held in two ways: 37 sisters attended the meeting in person at Masaka, and other 20 sisters attended it online. This meeting is part of the Jubilee of Hope and Spiritual Renewal. All the sisters present at Masaka went on the pilgrimage to and through the Door of Mercy at the Sanctuary of Mercy at Kabuga, Kigali, Rwanda.

There, we received the blessing of a plenary indulgence to accompany us on our journey toward spiritual renewal and ongoing conversion. Before passing through the Holy Door, the Provincial Superior presented to the Sisters the two Crosses, sign of hope and closeness which we received from our Superior General Sr Josephina D’Souza. One is for the Province and another one was handed over to the sisters who are working in the Republic Democratic of Congo where insecurity is always felt.
Many thanks to our Superior General for her motherly care and her concern to her sisters.

The meeting allowed the sisters to reflect together and take the option of radical change in their daily lives, both personal and communal. Prayer and mutual love are the ways that will help us enter into deep communion with Christ and give Him a central place in our hearts.

Our meeting ended by the participation to the Holy Eucharist celebrated at Saint Vincent Pallotti Church at Gikondo Parish in which four Pallottine Fathers celebrated the Jubilee of 25 years of consecrated life and 25 of the priesthood. It was a moving event which inspired many for the meaning of perseverance, sacrifice, zeal, peace and joy.
All is grace to those who love God.
