Dear Sisters,
Every year on 2 February, on the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord in the Temple, the World Day for Consecrated Life is celebrated in the entire Church to esteem ever more greatly the witness of those persons who have chosen to follow Christ by means of the practice of the evangelical counsels and, at the same time, is intended to be a suitable occasion for consecrated persons to renew their commitment and rekindle the fervour which should inspire their offering of themselves to the Lord.
On this occasion I wish all of you a very happy Feast Day. Let us join and renew our consecration in thanksgiving for the gift of our vocation to the Church and Pallottine Missionary Sisters Congregation. Through our consecration we are called to be faithful in living Gospel values to identify and confirm our following of Christ in discipleship.
Let us pray for each other so that through our consecration we become fervent in the Spirit, joyful in hope, strong in trial and persevering in prayer. May our identity in the Church and the service to the humanity attract many young people to accept willingly the gift of vocation. Our life be a splendid witness of love in accord with the invitation of St. Paul: “Live a life worthy of the calling you have received” (Eph 4:1).
Happy feast and deep joy and peace in your consecrated life.
