Today the Sisters continued with their reports, and we heard from Sr. Mary McNulty on England and Tanzania; Sr. Gail Borgmeyer on the United States; Sr. Bernadetta Turecka on Poland, Cameroon, France, Russia, White Russia, and Ukraine; Sr. Raphaela Fuchs on Switzerland; and Sr. Boscona Schämann on South Africa.
Our Eucharistic celebration welcomed 16 young volunteer missionaries who were missioned by Sr. Helga Weidemann, They are being sent to Tanzania, Philippines, Italy, India, Brazil, Bolivia, Cameroon, and Chile. Sr. Irene Weber from the German province have been preparing these young men and women through the program, “Missionaries for a Time.” General Councilors, Sr. Bozena and Sr. Maria offered a symbolic gift as a sign of support by the Sisters of all the provinces and regions.
